Active vs Passive Learning
How you study matters as much as how long. Active learning makes you do something with the material; passive learning just exposes you to it — and the difference in results is large.

When to use active learning
Active learning is the more effective default for real understanding — retrieval practice, working problems, and explaining force your brain to build durable memory.
When to use passive learning
